About
I'm Kevin Mastascusa — a practicing machine learning engineer and the founder of Mastascusa Holdings LLC. I build AI systems, and I audit organizations that deploy them. The two practices reinforce each other: building teaches you where systems break, and auditing teaches you which breaks matter.
Technical depth
My work sits at the intersection of machine learning engineering and deployment risk. I lead a six-person team building an AI image classification system — work that draws heavily on computational photography, where the algorithm is the camera. I study reinforcement learning at the graduate level, and I have shipped production data pipelines that reconcile five-source datasets. Currently completing an AI minor at Drexel University alongside a concentration in optimization theory — but the transcript matters less than the systems I've built and broken along the way.
Why audits
The AI readiness audit exists because the auditor has shipped AI systems and knows where they break. Most audit frameworks are written by compliance professionals. This one is written by an engineer who has debugged data pipelines at 2 AM and knows the difference between a policy that reads well and a system that works under load. That operational perspective is the entire value proposition.
Holdings
Mastascusa Holdings LLC is a holding company for technical ventures. The AI readiness audit is a direct service line — not a subsidiary, not a brand. The holding structure exists to let adjacent ventures operate under one roof while keeping their economics and liability separate.
